FAQ

We’ve put together the most important questions about your visit, tickets, the treasure hunt and much more for you.

Still didn’t find what you were looking for? No problem! Just send us an email at poeggstall@edelsteinpark.at – we’re happy to help.

What should I keep in mind at the entrance?

It is a one‑way ticket (no re‑entry). Please take everything you need for the day out of your car when you arrive.

Does the treasure hunt take place in the rain?

No, the park remains closed in rainy weather. Since the weather can be unpredictable, please give us a quick call shortly before your visit if the weather is uncertain: +43 670 60 70 179. You can ask whether we are open.

What clothing is recommended?

Since all activities take place outdoors and involve working with sand and water at the digging stations, we recommend weather‑appropriate casual clothing. We also suggest bringing a change of clothes for children and a towel.

From what age is the park suitable?

The treasure hunt is great fun for explorers of all ages. For very young children who cannot yet use the large sieves, we have a cozy sand play area.

Is there food and drink on site, and how does the deposit system work?

Yes, we offer food and drinks for both big and small appetites. To keep our prices fair and family‑friendly, we reduce service costs and use a simple deposit system:

  • How it works: We charge a €1 deposit on all plates, glasses, and bottles.
  • Working together: After you finish eating or drinking, simply return your dishes and get your €1 back.

The result: Low prices, clean tables, and safe digging areas for children. Thank you for your help!

Are handcarts, strollers, or dogs allowed in the park?

Strollers are welcome and allowed.

Handcarts cannot be taken into the park due to limited space.

Dogs & pets: Dogs (even small ones) and other pets are not allowed inside the park. However, they are welcome in our external gastronomy area.

May I bring my own sand toys, sieves, or shovels?

Using your own sand toys or kitchen sieves is not allowed for safety reasons (risk of splinters and injuries). Please use only the sieving pans provided at the stations.

If you want to use your own gold‑panning pan, you can rent one from us for a €2 fee. A €10 deposit is required, which you will get back when returning it.

How can I pay in the park?

You can pay with cash. EC card payments are possible from €10.

Is there a special offer for birthday children?

Yes! Children visiting on their birthday receive the reduced admission price and a surprise gift upon presenting proof (e.g., ID).

If you want to celebrate a birthday with us, you can find all information and our special kids’ party offer here:
